I participated in the 48th Annual Shrimp Festival Arts and Crafts show on April 30 and May 1, 2011 in Fernandina Beach. I had a great spot and a great time, and I actually sold some of my work.

This year, friends, Louise Malone, Billie McCray, Pat Williams, Pat Hooks and I made a huge paper mache figure, as an entry for the Island Art Association Co-op and Gallery, for the Annual Shrimp Festival Parade on Thursday evening. It was raining, but there was still a large crowd of on-lookers and well wishers. It was fun!

We hope that the Association will participate in all Shrimp Festival parades from now on. My friend, Lisa Inglis, helped me put up the tent Friday night and helped take it down Sunday night. I really couldn't have done it all by myself.
